Home Sweet Home

Back home to lovely, rainy England. Its very strange being back after spending the last 4 months in the warmth and my Disney bubble. All I want to do for the first couple of days is sleep and eat proper English food. I'm only in Essex for just over week until I have to go back to Manchester. So I spend the time with my family and friends doing random stuff that I missed doing all summer like seeing my nieces and driving (oh how I missed driving!).

Had a nice night out with the Essex girls which was fun and then just as I unpacked I had to start packing again for University! 

New York, New York

Last stop on the journey and I think we saved the best until last! I am so in love with New York! The shops, the buildings, the people! I'm so excited to go back and I plan to soon! Our hotel was so close to Times Square where I went to the huge Forever 21 and Disney store many times. Once again we spent the whole trip on Thai food and of course, it was lovely! 

Went to Central Park, Canal Street, Soho, World Trade Centre Memorial, 5th Avenue, Magnolia Bakery, Carrie Bradshaws Appartment, Grand Central Station, DASH Boutique. We did it all! Of course my favourite part was the shopping! Need to go back immediately with my Mum as she is going to love it!

Miami Baby

Miami was amazing! We stayed in this gorgeous art deco hotel on South Beach with our own gate to the beach. We spent most of the trip shopping on Lincoln Street (which just happened to be 2 blocks away!). We went out most nights to Mansion Nightclub and Nikki Beach (which I loved!). The food was amazing, though we spent the whole holiday having Thai food everywhere we went!

Definitely need to go back to Miami and go in a limo again to Mansion! The weather was a bit bad some days so at least we got to catch up on our sleep as we stayed out late most nights!

Fort Lauderdale

After Orlando Ciara & I headed to Fort Lauderdale as her family has a flat there  and we knew we would need some time to relax! We basically spent the 5 days we were there sunbathing, sleeping and reading! Was really nice after 3 months of working to finally relax properly! 

Went to some great shops and restaurants, especially this Thai restaurant we went to there which was AMAZING! Honestly the best food I've ever had! We did give in one night as we came across a liquor store we got bought the biggest bottle they had and went out! It was ladies night, so we didn't pay for a drink all night so it got a little messy but was so much fun!

Happy 40th Birthday Magic Kingdom!

Today is the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. Wish I was there for the celebrations and everyone I worked with is still there :(

Universal

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before on this blog, but I was offered to go work at Universal Studios this summer as well as Disney. Obviously, we all know what one I picked, but I was very curious to go see what the competition had to offer! Well for starters its much more thrill seeking, the rides are much bigger and faster which I really enjoyed! Harry Potter land inside Islands of Adventure was amazing, I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan (unlike my travel companion Ciara who went nuts over it!) but it was incredible! Loved the cartoon lands such as Popeye and Dr Suess, made me feel even more like a child than I already am!

Obviously being the HUGE Disney fan that I am and the fact I was an employee I couldn't help but spend the day constantly comparing it to Disney and feel like I made the right choice for my summer program but none the less I really enjoyed Universal and excited to go back one day!
