Planning For October

So my Mum, Step dad, Boyfriend & I are off to Walt Disneyworld in October for Halloween! I was getting Orlando withdrawals so we all decided it would be te perfect time to go back and visit. We always try and avoid the really kid busy times so we've avoided half term and school vacations. Also I've never been to an American Disney park for Halloween.

We've booked our hotel and after lots of decisions we've decided on Port Orleans Riverside (pictured below) as it was reasonably priced, close to Downtown Disney and looked a lot less "kiddie" than the hotels in the same price bracket. If any readers has stayed there before and have any idea about the rooms please comment as we can't decide between Magnolia Bend Mansion or Alligator Bayou Lodges. 

We're obviously planning on spending most of our time in Disney parks along with a visit to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. But I am also looking into Universals Fright night as my parents haven't been to Universal yet.

The top of my list is the improved Test track, the rest of New Fantasyland and trying to get a reservation at Be Our Guest restaurant (which I've already tried so hoping to get lucky while we're there!).

Of course I've be having a very drunk Sunday evening at the House of Blues and hoping to bump into some of my old co- workers! So excited!

Good Life

When I get those days where I'm feeling down (usually about the weather or Uni work) Disney video's never fail to cheer me up! This one in particular makes me feel so lucky that I worked at the Magic Kingdom in Florida but it does make me miss it even more!! Enjoy!

Florida Bucket List

As I mentioned in my previous post I have less than 2 weeks left so I thought I'd compose a list of things I have yet to do here!

1. Get Sushi in Japan Pavilion
2. Photo with Alice in MK or Epcot
3. Make Videos of Princesses for Nieces
4. Get a turkey leg in Magic Kingdom
5. Do backlot tour in Hollywood Studios
6. Blizzard Beach
7. Buy MORE merchandise! (if possible!)
8. Ice Cream on main street
9. Candy Apple in Downtown Disney
10. Wolfgang Puck in Downtown Disney
11. Earl Of Sandwich in Downtown Disney
12. Visit the Grand Floridan
13. Rent A Boat on Boardwalk
14. Watch Memories & Wishes for final time ;(
15. Go on Dumbo, MK!
16. Typhoon Lagoon
17. Go on Soarin' again

And Im sure I'll do much more!

I've Arrived!

Got here yesterday about 5pm, queues for passport control and baggage weren't too bad and I was the only person from the Disney UK group that didn't get taken in for questioning at the airport, clearly I don't look suspicious! We then got a coach to Vista Way housing and there was all Disney people to welcome us with Hersey's Kisses! We then got given our room numbers and where we were going to be staying and I have been placed at Chatham Square and its GORGEOUS! I'm sharing a flat with 2 English girls and 3 from Hong Kong. We then all made a trip to Wal Mart to stock up on some American Food :)


Today was an early start had to be at the Commons for 8am then had a loooooonng day of watching presentations and filling out forms, but at least we only have to do that once! Then the rest of the day I have been laying out by the pool with my flatmate! Then tonight we are off to Downtown Disney with all the UK group!

I Need Some Sun!

Less than 4 months til Disney ICP! So excited! Its too cold in England! Been back at Uni for 2 weeks now and just found the perfect house for next year! Its huge and all nicely decorated and the bedrooms are so big! Got to sort out my insurance for when I'm in Disney. As I'll be working in the US theres a different (and more expensive) insurance, so I need to make sure I'm getting the right one.


Also sorting out my plans for travelling after my program. My best friend Ciara has booked her flight out to meet me in Orlando the day I finish then I think we are planning to stay in the area a few days, then onto her place in Fort Launderdale where we can do some much needed relaxing in the sun! We are also definitely going to Miami and New York so I'm expecting a fun and very expensive summer!

Disney Traditions

Amazing Christmas Day! Got so many goodies including this Disney Traditions collectable statue (pictured below) which may now have started an addiction for collecting these as they are beautiful (and i'll be getting discount on Disney merchandise when I'm a cast member!), here's the website to all the others here!. My other presents were my plane tickets to and from Florida and I'm getting a camcorder next week so I can document my adventure better next year! 


Saw my 2 nieces and nephew and the rest of my step family, literally have eaten my weight in junk food today! Finally got to see the Princess & The Frog and I was very impressed, Disney Animation Studios have clearly looked into the archives and saw how the great animators made classic Disney films as the music and animation were amazing!
