New York, New York

Last stop on the journey and I think we saved the best until last! I am so in love with New York! The shops, the buildings, the people! I'm so excited to go back and I plan to soon! Our hotel was so close to Times Square where I went to the huge Forever 21 and Disney store many times. Once again we spent the whole trip on Thai food and of course, it was lovely! 

Went to Central Park, Canal Street, Soho, World Trade Centre Memorial, 5th Avenue, Magnolia Bakery, Carrie Bradshaws Appartment, Grand Central Station, DASH Boutique. We did it all! Of course my favourite part was the shopping! Need to go back immediately with my Mum as she is going to love it!

Miami Baby

Miami was amazing! We stayed in this gorgeous art deco hotel on South Beach with our own gate to the beach. We spent most of the trip shopping on Lincoln Street (which just happened to be 2 blocks away!). We went out most nights to Mansion Nightclub and Nikki Beach (which I loved!). The food was amazing, though we spent the whole holiday having Thai food everywhere we went!

Definitely need to go back to Miami and go in a limo again to Mansion! The weather was a bit bad some days so at least we got to catch up on our sleep as we stayed out late most nights!

Fort Lauderdale

After Orlando Ciara & I headed to Fort Lauderdale as her family has a flat there  and we knew we would need some time to relax! We basically spent the 5 days we were there sunbathing, sleeping and reading! Was really nice after 3 months of working to finally relax properly! 

Went to some great shops and restaurants, especially this Thai restaurant we went to there which was AMAZING! Honestly the best food I've ever had! We did give in one night as we came across a liquor store we got bought the biggest bottle they had and went out! It was ladies night, so we didn't pay for a drink all night so it got a little messy but was so much fun!

Universal

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before on this blog, but I was offered to go work at Universal Studios this summer as well as Disney. Obviously, we all know what one I picked, but I was very curious to go see what the competition had to offer! Well for starters its much more thrill seeking, the rides are much bigger and faster which I really enjoyed! Harry Potter land inside Islands of Adventure was amazing, I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan (unlike my travel companion Ciara who went nuts over it!) but it was incredible! Loved the cartoon lands such as Popeye and Dr Suess, made me feel even more like a child than I already am!

Obviously being the HUGE Disney fan that I am and the fact I was an employee I couldn't help but spend the day constantly comparing it to Disney and feel like I made the right choice for my summer program but none the less I really enjoyed Universal and excited to go back one day!

All Work!

Been very busy working the week of 4th of July where I was chosen as firework support, so basically I was paid to help guests find good viewing and watch the fireworks myself! To say they were amazing is a bit of an understatement they were 360 degrees so at all times you could see them in every direction! The park was at full capacity most of the week so it got very crowded very quickly. 

Have also been celebrating peoples birthdays over here aswell and finding out I have passed my first year of University! So very happy I won't have to do resits and definitely celebrating more in Miami and New York now! Speaking of which can't believe how quickly thats coming up! Ciara will be here in 1 month and 10 days! Where has this program gone?! Planning to go out this weekend again as I love downtown Orlando :)

All Finished!

Finished my last report and portfolio, just exams in May but I've basically finished my first year at University! Had a great time and met some amazing friends, going to miss them lots this summer! 


Going back to my hometown in Essex after the weekend and have 2 weeks with family and friends there before I'm off to LA & Vegas with my Mum for my 21st Birthday Holiday! So very excited!


Still got to book my embassy meeting which i'll book next week hopefully and still need to get insurance! But only a month and 24 days until I'm off to Florida for the summer!

Update!

Been a while since I have done an update! Been trying to finish all my essays and reports so I can home a week early from Uni for easter. Only got one report left and 2 weeks to finish it, so very happy at the moment!

I had my Criminal Background check back and its all clear, which is nice! Also had my Disney pack arrive at home so my Mum is going to book my Visa appointment hopefully for May when I'm back from my Birthday Holiday. Also still have to sort out my Insurance which hopefully won't be too expensive!

Need to start booking hotels for when I've finished my program and doing some travelling with my friend Ciara! Need to book Miami, New York and Bahamas, so excited! 

Thats pretty much all on the update at the moment! Just over 8 weeks until I leave for Florida!!!! :)

I Need Some Sun!

Less than 4 months til Disney ICP! So excited! Its too cold in England! Been back at Uni for 2 weeks now and just found the perfect house for next year! Its huge and all nicely decorated and the bedrooms are so big! Got to sort out my insurance for when I'm in Disney. As I'll be working in the US theres a different (and more expensive) insurance, so I need to make sure I'm getting the right one.


Also sorting out my plans for travelling after my program. My best friend Ciara has booked her flight out to meet me in Orlando the day I finish then I think we are planning to stay in the area a few days, then onto her place in Fort Launderdale where we can do some much needed relaxing in the sun! We are also definitely going to Miami and New York so I'm expecting a fun and very expensive summer!

Criminal Background Check

My CRB is all done and sent! Hopefully that'll come back soon and given the ok! Only thing, I am clearly a dummy and left my passport at Uni! Thank god Yummy Jobs its ok to send a photocopy the new year!

I am going to try and book my flight next week and I think I may just buy a one way ticket to Orlando as I don't know where I'm coming back from yet! My friend Ciara may be meeting me straight after my program so we can go to Miami, New York and her place in Fort Lauderdale, so I hope she can!

Need to go see Tangled and the new Tron film soon as they both look amazing! You can see the trailers here and here! I have also been looking at villas that maybe my friends and I are looking to rent in Ibiza in September and have found some amazing ones online & this one is my favourite so far!
